Some 18 University of Minnesota apparel design seniors present their work in a runway fashion show, with designs ranging from ready-to-wear to couture.

Just back from producing 48 shows for Caribbean Fashion Week, Richard Moody puts together a first ever show at Spin this Saturday, June 21st. 10 female and 10 male models will walk the runway in this day celebrating summer. This show is for anyone who is the industry or just likes to see a good fashion show.

Clothes by local boutiques VState & Atmosfere and will feature original designs by Carol Bruns. Beauty Room is doing hair and makeup. Models are from Moore, Meredith, and Wehmann agencies. VIP guests will enjoy a champagne and chocolates after party great for networking.

Diva Minnesota’s Club Diva 2008 was a huge success, both in raising tens of thousands of dollars to support HIV/AIDS programs in Minnesota, and as a glam bash featuring live performances and runway fashion from Twin Cities designers including Pather Yang, Hazel Matthys, Ivan Idland, Taissa Lada, Tanya Thomas- Schaefer, Jason Hammberg, Michele Henry (one of her designs pictured at left), along with Jack Mackenroth of Project Runway fame.

Last fall Heimie’s Haberdashery proved that retail can thrive in downtown St. Paul by expanding into a huge new space formerly occupied for decades by Bockstruck Jewelers.

Heimie’s Haberdashery in downtown St. Paul brings back the best of the good old days. Where else can you get personal attention in selecting a suit, or business casual outfit, browse cigars or cuff links, and then top it off with a trim in their turn-of-the century barber chair (call for barber schedule)?
