The University of Minnesota Fashion Show was once again an outstanding production and filled with creative and beautiful designs by the students.  Dozens of shots in the galleries below – check back here for more pics and reviews.

Jennifer Robertus:

Jennifer Robertus had a simple but classy look to all her designs. Most of her work centered around a striped pattern which I thought added a lot of flavor to the dresses. She liked using peach and green together which was very springy and colorful. I loved all of her resort-wear themed designs and I thought the flowy material she used really complemented the outfits. My favorite of her line was the last peach, green and pink schemed dress with wide stripes on the halter top and an elegant peach skirt that gently swept the floor.

Diana Zhyhar:

Diana’s line was elegant and fashionable women’s office wear. Her designs had a unique feature to all of them: you could either flip up, pull down or zip off parts of the garment to give it a different feel. I thought this was creative and it definitely made you wonder what was going to come out at you next! I loved how the designs were more classic with a monochromatic scheme but you had the choice to add a little bit more spunk to them if you wished. The one outfit that really caught my eye was the grey dress that had zip off sides. The blue and black stained glass design underneath completely transformed the dress from casual work- wear into an animated, fun choice for going out to dinner.

Stephanie Hillman:

Exciting, colorful, full of energy and just down right adorable completely describes the feel of Stephanie’s designs. With the warm accents and beautiful silhouettes, her clothes make you smile when you see the models stroll down the runway. The bright, vibrant colors really grab you and demand your attention. A couple of her dresses had a funky floral pattern on the skirt that absolutely made the outfit. I fell in love with her gorgeous green dress with that bold floral pattern. It was the perfect dress, from the solid green sleeveless bodice, to the fashionable leather belt that added an effortless finishing touch, down to the chic skirt just barely brushing the floor.
